At Cable-Tec Expo in Atlanta, ATX Networks will be showing its MAXNET II RF and optical transmission platform. The optical platform features patented integration of narrowcast combiners for rack space density, as well as low narrowcast input level requirements.The MAXNET II RF amplifiers and switches work together in redundant amplifier scenarios. Constant monitoring of RF power, temperature, voltage and many other parameters are intended to alert the operator to any failures. All MAXNET II actives support web and SNMP management based on the SCTE HMS Standards for RF and optical products.In other ATX news, at Expo the company is featuring its VersAtive encoding/transcoding platform intended for PEG and local content encoding, traditional transcoding, IPTV networks, and OTT video delivery applications. The product is a multichannel MPEG-2/H.264 encoder/transcoder designed to deliver video at low bit rates. Its supports HD/SD-SDI, Composite, Component, and HDMI input options and is priced on a per SD and per HD channel basis.
