Corruption of config files and databases is a problem across many products, yet headend personnel do not tend to manually back up devices on a regular basis if ever, Zanaware says. This is due in part to the sheer number of devices on a network and the time it would take to do so.
The Health Manager Service (HMS) provides Zanaware-owned Auto Backr Pro (ABP) units, which interface between all headend devices and Zanaware's cloud servers. The operator does not need to purchase hardware. The fee is approximately $299 per month for a solution that will back up 50 headend devices daily, but this number can be expanded as needed. The cost per month, per device, is around $6.Additionally, the system can auto-detect new devices in the network and add them to the database.www.zanaware.comSee them at Cable-Tec Expo, Booth 1388 (MHz Booth)Return to the BTR Diamond Technology Reviews Elite.
