Comcast Deploys ARRIS Router, Gateway

Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) has taken the ARRIS (NASDAQ:ARRS) E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) from trials to its first commercial deployment. The E6000 CER is a network component of ARRIS’ end-to-end portfolio, which spans the cloud, network and home.In other Comcast/ARRIS news, the MSO will be launching the ARRIS XG1 gateway in Q3 to deliver its X1 TV experience. The gateway is based on the RDK platform software from Comcast, which is intended to simplify the development of third-party applications and tools.
