Netflix Launches its own CDN

According to this Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) blog post, the OTT video provider has launched its own content delivery network (CDN), dubbed Open Connect. Previously the company delivered all its streaming content via commercial CDNs, and Netflix plans to continue working with them for the next few years, but wants to eventually move most of its content through Open Connect.
