Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) has introduced an OTT streaming media player dubbed Amazon Fire TV. The $99 box connects to the customer's HDTV and the Internet and is designed to access streaming video services - including Amazon Instant Video, Netflix and Hulu Plus - as well as games and music. It features a quad-core processor, 2 GB of memory, dedicated GPU, and 1080p HD video and Dolby Digital Plus surround sound.
