In Arkansas, RightFiber by Ritter Communications this month announced the launch of 5 Gig and 2 Gig symmetrical fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) internet service across its fully fiber-optic network.

RightFiber by Ritter Communications this month announced the launch of 5 Gig and 2 Gig symmetrical fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) internet service across its fully fiber-optic network. The new multi-gigabit speed offerings place RightFiber among the elite ranks of the fastest internet providers in the country, the company contends.

The company notes that, on average, U.S. households now have 22 connected devices in their home. RightFiber says its FTTH multi-gigabit technology is designed ensure the bandwidth for customers to run multiple devices simultaneously with no lagging or buffering, positioning its subscribers for applications such as video streaming, gaming, at-home video conferencing and managing a multitude of smart home devices.

At a local event announcing the speed upgrades, Ritter Communications CEO Alan Morse said:

“The demand for fast, reliable fiber internet is greater than ever before, and it will only continue to grow as our customers become increasingly more reliant on smart devices to connect our homes. RightFiber stands on the shoulders of our promise to do ‘Right by You.’ The services announced today make good on that promise by bringing our customers the fastest speeds with the very best service at the greatest value.”

For his part, Jonesboro, Arkansas Mayor Harold Copenhaver remarked:

“Last year, the City selected Ritter Communications as Jonesboro’s official residential broadband partner. At that time, I was beyond excited at the prospect of RightFiber’s capabilities in making Jonesboro a true 'Gig City' with one Gig internet. However, in just six short months, they have doubled down on their intentions and given us not only 2 Gig, but also 5 Gig RightFiber speed. I think it is safe to say that when it came to choosing a broadband partner, we made the right choice.”

Headquartered in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Ritter Communications has grown rapidly in recent years, investing millions of dollars recently in technology infrastructure, and is now serving 125 communities and more than 47,000 customers in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri and Tennessee.
