Google Fiber (NASDAQ:GOOG) is launching its Webpass fixed wireless service in Nashville, TN, with a focus on multiple dwelling units (MDUs) such as apartment buildings and condominium complexes.

The fixed point-to-point wireless technology is intended to provide Internet speeds up to 1 Gbps without the need for significant construction work.

Google Fiber offers Webpass in parts of Chicago; Denver; Seattle; Austin, TX; Miami; San Diego; San Francisco; and Oakland, CA. The company built out its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network in Nashville in 2015.
