According to IE Market Research, global mobile entertainment revenue, led by mobile TV, is expected to rise from $47.8 billion in 2014 to $61.6 billion in 2019, an increase of 5.1%. The research house expects mobile TV will see the biggest growth in revenues globally over the next five years, increasing from $5.7 billion in 2014 to $9.7 billion in 2019, a CAGR of 10.4%.

Mobile music continues to be the largest mobile entertainment sub-segment. IE forecasts the number of users downloading paid music over mobile networks to increase from 910 million in 2014 to 1.31 billion in 2019, generating total revenue of $14.9 billion.

Mobile music and gaming are expected to have stable growth over the next five years, while mobile personalization revenue is expected to decrease from $3.2 billion in 2014 to $2.8 billion in 2019.
