Moscow Multiscreen: RGB Heads to Russia

Feb. 8, 2012
RGB Networks is demonstrating its solutions for the delivery of video services to multiple screens at CSTB 2012 in Moscow from Feb. 7-9. Through live demonstrations at its partner booths, RGB is highlighting its Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG) transcoding platform for multiscreen video delivery and TransAct Packager adaptive streaming product.RGB's chassis-based VMG is a scalable transcoding platform designed to save rack space and reduce management overheads. The TransAct Packager is designed to produce segmented output in Apple HTTP Live Streaming, Microsoft Smooth Streaming and Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming for both live and on-demand delivery of premium content. The hardware- or software-based solution "packages" video for delivery to content delivery networks (CDNs), origin servers, and end-user devices, and is intended for large-scale centralized or decentralized deployments. It also encrypts content by integrating key exchanges with DRM servers, works with firewalls, and manages and compensates for packet drops and temporary bandwidth changes.
