Scott Mispagel of Frontier Communications Receives 2025 Connect the Unconnected Award
ISE Magazine is proud to announce that Scott Mispagel, Senior Vice President of Network Engineering and Operations at Frontier Communications, has been named the recipient of the inaugural Connect the Unconnected Award, presented at the 2025 Fiber Connect Conference and Expo.
Mispagel joined Frontier in 2013 and has been a driving force behind Frontier’s nationwide fiber buildout. Today, Frontier is the largest pure-play fiber provider in the country, delivering access to more than 8 million homes and businesses across the country.
“I am humbled to accept this award on behalf of Frontier,” said Mispagel. “It’s a true team effort to bring our purpose of Building Gigabit America to life. I am fortunate to work alongside the best people in the industry who are both experts at building fiber and passionate about how that fast, reliable connection can change people’s lives.”
Mispagel has played a key role in Frontier’s efforts to expand high-speed fiber internet access to hard-to-reach areas, helping to close the digital divide. In addition to leading the company’s fiber buildout, he helped launch Frontier’s Broadband for Good program, which donates fiber internet to community-loved organizations that are impacting those who need it most. These organizations support a wide range of needs—from education and mental health to services for veterans and families—ensuring people in unserved and underserved areas have access to the digital tools and opportunities they need.
