AMS Technologies signs distribution deal with OZ Optics

22 October 2003 Martinsried, Germany Lightwave Europe -- AMS Technologies a distributor of electronic and opto electronic components and systems, has agreed a distribution deal with OZ Optics, a Canadian manufacturer of fibre-optic components and test equipment.

The OZ range comprises fibre coupling systems, attenuators, meters and optical subcomponents such as fibre tapers and V-channel arrays.

AMS says the deal will increase the quality of its fibre optic product portfolio. The OZ range comprises fibre coupling systems, attenuators, meters and optical subcomponents such as fibre tapers and V-channel arrays.

OZ Optics also offers a selection of fibre-optic metrology instruments for laboratory and production. Devices cover several wavelength ranges from ultraviolet to infrared and there is a large selection of polarisation maintaining fibre-optic components available as standard products.

With its broad knowledge in the fields of fibre-optics, OZ Optics has become one of the leading suppliers for components and instrumentation technology. OZ's manufacturing processes are highly automated.

AMS Technologies Group is headquartered in Martinsried, Munich, with distribution offices in France, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain. The company comprises five technology divisions with a total staff of 60. The five areas are tele- and data-communications, high power electronics, opto-electronics, and thermal management.
