You may think InnovaComm (Tulatin, OR) is relatively new to the optoelectronics packaging and engineering manufacturing field, but the company is formerly the communications division of Maxtek Components Corp.

InnovaComm serves the fiber optic wireless and Hi-Rel markets with complex electronics packaging solutions. The company designs, manufactures and tests high-speed, high frequency microelectronics packaging and interconnect solutions. Its offshore subsidiary, InnovaComm Philippines, provides manufacturing and testing for high-volume applications.

Based on a history of providing optical devices to Tektronix, InnovaComm is a dedicated, value-added contract manufacturer serving the fiber optic datacom, telecom and aerospace/military markets with active modules and optical subassemblies, providing value-added engineering resources to ensure customers meet time-to-market goals.

InnovaComm's customers include larger producers of systems and modules and device technology fabricators who need packaging, help with signal integrity, thermal management and testability. Some customers simply have capacity issues and choose to outsource their packaging needs.

For more information, see InnovaComm at island #2482 at OFC, or visit www.innovacommtech.com.
