Alcatel Optronics and Laser 2000 partner to distribute opto-electronic components in Europe
Alcatel Optronics (Paris: CGO; NASDAQ: ALAO), a supplier of opto-electronic components for telecommunication networks, and Laser 2000, a specialist distributor of components and instrumentation for telecommunication networks, have signed an agreement to develop the distribution of leading-edge optical modules and sub-systems in Europe.
Through this partnership, Alcatel Optronics will be able to extend its services to clients on a localized basis thanks to the presence of Laser 2000 in several European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and, shortly, Italy. The agreement will also allow Laser 2000 to enrich its product catalogue with opto-electronic components for optical telecommunication networks. All Laser 2000's sales & support teams will receive technical training concerning Alcatel Optronics products in order to optimize client support.
