Mar. 28, 2001--LSA, Inc., a technical engineering and project management-consulting company serving the Department of Defense in the development of lasers and high-tech optics, will expand its technology expertise to the public sector with the launching of LSA Communications, Inc.

LSA, Inc., a technical engineering and project management-consulting company serving the Department of Defense in the development of lasers and high-tech optics, will expand its technology expertise to the public sector with the launching of LSA Communications, Inc. at SUPERCOMM 2001, Booth #9005.

The new, wholly owned subsidiary will offer Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecommunications companies and other organizations affordable, optical-wireless network solutions, connecting LANs, WANs, and providing connectivity to multi-building corporate and university campus environments.

Also at SUPERCOMM, the newly launched LSA Communications will unveil its first free-space optical networking system, designed to help ISPs, service providers, and carriers conquer the last-mile connectivity challenge. The system will be on display, and LSA staff will be on-hand to answer any questions visitors may have. System details will be announced prior to SUPERCOMM.

LSA, Inc. expects LSA Communications to be the key ingredient in reaching a potentially large market. "Commercial expansion is a natural move for us," said Dietmar Tech, Vice President of LSA, Inc. "Now we can extend the same laser communication expertise and flexible, reliable product solutions that have been critical to the DoD to the public sector."
