Zolo Technologies, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of optical networking subsystems, announced it has completed its acquisition of optical gratings manufacturer Hyperfine, Inc., located in Boulder, Colorado. The acquisition closely follows a recent announcement by Zolo that it has closed on $32.5 million in Series B financing.
Hyperfine was founded in 1969 to produce research-quality holographic and diffraction gratings. Since its inception, Hyperfine has ruled and replicated optical gratings used in atmospheric research, laser radars, optical computing and telecommunications. The company has produced gratings for NASA, the Department of Defense, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
