(OTCBB:SGFS), announced that its Board of Directors has approved a plan to initiate a corporate merger between SunGlobe Fiber Systems Corporation and SunGlobe Telecom, Inc. The merger will permit SunGlobe jointly to offer its clients telecommunication service that will combine the use of satellite and fiber optic transmission as a seamless delivery method.
Through the SunPac Network under development by SunGlobe Telecom, SunGlobe Fiber will have the ability to share in the entire network's financial opportunities while providing capacity in the growing Latin America Region. SunGlobe Telecom, Inc. is currently providing Satellite services to International Carriers such as BellSouth Long Distance (BSLD) and Intelliswitch, under contract to provide service to ITXC.
