Corona Optical Systems receives $6.9 million in funding

Corona Optical Systems, Inc. announces it has received commitments for up to $6.9 million of funding from Intel Capital and the Geometry Group.

Corona Optical Systems, Inc. announces it has received commitments for up to $6.9 million of funding from Intel Capital and the Geometry Group. This completes Corona's most recent round of funding. Funds will be used to further expand design and production of the company's high-speed optoelectronic components and subsystems.

Corona Optical Systems' key technologies focus on high-speed optoelectronic subsystems and components for carrier class equipment. Corona's initial products are set for release in the first half of 2001.
