Overture Networks, Hatteras Networks merger completed

Overture Networks and Hatteras Networks have completed their merger and begun operations under the Overture Networks name. The combine company will continue to focus on Carrier Ethernet support over copper and fiber optic networks.

Overture Networks and Hatteras Networks have completed their merger (see "Overture Networks, Hatteras Networks agree to merge") and begun operations under the Overture Networks name. The combined company will continue to focus on Carrier Ethernet support over copper and fiber optic networks.

Jeff Reedy of Overture will maintain his CEO position. Kevin Sheehan, Reedy’s counterpart at Hatteras, will serve as president of the newly combined company. Prayson Pate, vice president of engineering at the old Overture, now becomes senior vice president of engineering. Matt Squire, senior vice president of engineering and CTO at Hatteras, will retain his CTO title at the new Overture Networks.

The company has yet to announce senior sales executives.

The company will maintain its Research Triangle Park, NC, headquarters, as well as its technology center in Richardson, TX. Overture plans to retain and expand its current employee roster as the company moves forward.
