“Hossein is not just a respected technologist. He brings both passion and energy to telecoms innovation,” said Suri. “His in-depth experience driving technology strategy and architecture within service providers will bring a whole new level of customer focus to our own innovation.”

The new role of CTO was created by Nokia Siemens Networks following the reorganization it announced in November 2009 and the elimination of the role of chief operating officer from January 2010. Moiin has worked in Europe, Asia, and the United States during his career. Prior to working for BT, Moiin held positions with T-Mobile including group vice president for Technical Strategy and chief architect.
