September 15, 2004 Sunnyvale, CA -- ANDA Networks, developer of carrier-class access solutions for fiber and copper-based networks, today announced that Navigata Communications has chosen ANDA's EtherTone family of platforms to enhance its Ethernet services offering. Navigata Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of Candian ILEC/IXC SaskTel Group, has standardized on and is deploying ANDA's EtherTone platform across its Canadian footprint.

"We are impressed with the breadth of ANDA's EtherTone portfolio family and how it provides Navigata Communications with a broad, carrier-class, cost-effective platform on which we could enhance our Ethernet services and increase our service quality levels," asserts Jon Rose of Navigata Communications Network Engineering group. "In addition, more than once ANDA Networks proved that it could meet our needs in a very responsive manner."

ANDA Networks' EtherTone family of Access and Edge platforms enables carriers to offer Ethernet-based services such as high-speed Internet access, VoIP, Ethernet Private Line, and Transparent LAN service over existing copper, SONET, and/or dark fiber networks.

Introduced last year, the EtherEdge platform and other elements of the EtherTone family are being deployed in 10 carrier networks and are being evaluated by several other carriers, both domestically and internationally, say ANDA representatives.
