Teknovus, a provider of GEPON chipsets for triple-play services, has promoted Rex Naden from chief executive officer to active chairman, as well as appointing Greg Caltabiano as president and chief executive officer and Ryoji Takaichi as Japan general manager and corporate vice president.
BICSI’s executive board of directors has named David C. Cranmer, RCDD, as the new executive director of BICSI, effective January 1, 2007. Since June 2006, Cranmer served as the interim executive director of the organization. He also served as BICSI president in 1990 and 1991, chaired the Installation Committee, and served on several other committees.
The Ethernet Alliance, an industry group dedicated to the success and expansion of Ethernet technology, has elected Dan Dove, of ProCurve Networking by HP, to its board of directors. Dove has worked at ProCurve for more than 25 years. Dove served as 10GBase-CX4 chair and has been an active participant in Ethernet standards development.
Vyyo Inc., a supplier of broadband access equipment for cable and private wireless broadband networks, has named Margaret “Maggie” Bellville to the company’s board of directors. Bellville established a reputation as a leading operations expert at positions with Charter Communications, Cox Communications, and Century Communications.
