Cannect Communications Inc. appointed Dan Bobowski senior vice president of operations, with overall responsibility for managing the company's engineering, network architecture/deployment strategies, operations, and customer service. He was formerly vice president at AT&T Canada, where he was responsible for local and long-distance services, CLEC operations, customer service, provisioning, sales, property management, and construction in British Columbia.

Dr. Kent D. Choquette is currently a faculty member of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was formerly a principle member of the technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories. Jeff Fishburn is vice president of technology at Western Integrated Networks. He formerly worked at Lucent Technologies and AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he designed high-capacity metropolitan/backbone networks. Gary Nekula is chief technical officer at Pontio Communications Inc., where he is responsible for the network design and deployment of network equipment, including transport equipment, physical and virtual collocation, DSL technologies, and OSS systems. Jim Sackman is vice president and chief technical officer at AFC. Prior to his promotion, Sackman was director of hardware engineering for the company, where he was responsible for the development of the first DLC integrated ADSL card.
