AT&T will serve as network service provider for OK-based credit union
AUGUST 21 -- AT&T Inc. (search for AT&T) has been selected to provide network services to 66 Federal Credit Union, a cooperative financial institution with headquarters in Bartlesville, OK.
Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will serve as the primary network and data services provider to 66 Federal Credit Union and will integrate the company's multiprotocol label switching (MPLS)-based virtual private network (VPN) for an enhanced communications network between offices. AT&T's VPN will meet the credit union's growing demand for voice and data applications, network redundancy, and business continuity by providing the necessary network infrastructure and enhanced bandwidth. The unified platform will allow the network to be accessed simultaneously by all locations.
"The unified network provided by AT&T will provide us with a cost-effective, flexible, and efficient platform, which will improve communications between all of our nationwide locations," says Marty O'Connell, chief information officer, 66 Federal Credit Union. "This will ultimately provide us with the long-term scalability to expand the business."
