BigBand Networks readies for IPO

JANUARY 2, 2006 -- BigBand Networks Inc. filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission December 22 relating to the proposed initial public offering of its common stock.

JANUARY 2, 2006 -- BigBand Networks Inc. (search for BigBand Networks) filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission December 22 relating to the proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The shares of common stock to be sold in the offering are expected to be offered by BigBand Networks and certain of its stockholders.

Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc. and Merrill Lynch & Co. will act as joint book-running managers for the offering. In addition, Jefferies & Company Inc., Cowen and Company, LLC, and ThinkEquity Partners LLC will act as co-managers for the offering. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.
