FEBRUARY 17, 2009 -- Alpheus Communications, a provider of telecommunications and data center services for enterprises and carriers has chosen ANDA Networks' (search Lightwave for ANDA) EtherReach 2000 network termination equipment (NTE) to support access to its 5,700-mile fiber network. ANDA says its equipment enables Alpheus to rapidly deploy and extend its Ethernet service reach while providing scalable managed bandwidth offerings to help its customers respond to changes in their businesses easily.
With collocations in more than 85% of the AT&T central offices in six of the largest cities in Texas (Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, and San Antonio), Alpheus uses the ANDA equipment to help lower operating expenses while increasing the management functionality across its carrier-class Ethernet service offerings. The EtherReach 2000 series provides an operations administration and maintenance (OA&M) platform for managing and optimizing flexible Ethernet bandwidth offerings over existing PDH circuits.
