Alloptic partners for airport and industrial safety and security applications
JUNE 14, 2007 -- Alloptic, Inc. (search for Alloptic) says it has partnered with SOFAB Industries to provide optical communications access equipment for security and "Smart City" applications. SOFAB, which focuses on security applications for air and sea ports, border crossing, and industrial and government complexes, will use Alloptic's GEPON access equipment to expand its portfolio in the GCC countries of the Middle East and throughout Asia.

"Alloptic's presence in the security/Smart City market, their scalability to a 10-Gbit/sec GEPON architecture, their full support of TDM and IP technologies, plus their ability to deliver all business and residential services with a hardened, redundant product places them in the forefront of this industry. Alloptic gives us the ability to deploy one network for all applications, including residential, commercial, security, command and control, and city management. That single network is critical for our customers."
"SOFAB's extensive capabilities and experience were the deciding factors in our decision to work together," stated Ric Johnsen, president and CEO for Alloptic. "No one else comes close to matching their technical expertise and market knowledge. Together we offer turnkey solutions unmatched by any competitors."
