Uniphase Corp., San Jose, CA, has signed a definitive agreement to purchase the assets of the ibm Laser Enterprise, part of ibm`s Zurich Research Laboratory in Switzerland. Uniphase will operate its new acquisition as a wholly owned subsidiary, Uniphase Laser Enterprise AG, in Zurich.
