On January 7, Provident Data Centers announced that it has formed a joint venture with PowerHouse Data Centers to develop a hyperscale data center campus in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The companies report that development will occur in stages, and when completed, the campus will span across a 768-acre site and will offer significant power sourcing.
Provident Data Center founder and CEO Leon Backes said the site is designed for rapid scalability and high-density power requirements and will deliver the seamless connectivity needed to meet digital infrastructure demands.
“We’re not just bringing power to the grid; we’re powering the future,” said Backes in a press release. “Texas is already a leader in technology; our goal for this campus is to make it the undisputed heavyweight champion of digital infrastructure.”
Provident’s portfolio now contains data center sites in eight Texas cities and a site in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Doug Fleit, co-founder and CEO of PowerHouse Data Centers, said the company looks forward to building long-term relationships with the community and customers.
“Our partnership with Provident is fortified by pioneering expertise, collaboration, and forward-thinking vision,” said Fleit in the same press release. “This is more than just a data center; it’s the future of digital infrastructure; we’re building a new frontier in the heart of Texas.”
