Argentine service provider Claro, a subsidiary of America Movil, has complemented its mobile services with an FTTH-enabled wired broadband service that includes Internet at up to 50 Mbps.
The new service is available in Moron, Vicente Lopez, Avellaneda, and Berazategui. The fixed-line broadband offering includes 1, 3, 5, 10, 30, 40, and 50 Mbps tiers. Claro says it will further expand its fiber network beyond greater Buenos Aires. The FTTH network currently passes 300,000 households.
In addition to Internet access, Claro also will provide one or two lines of telephone service, as well as such features as call waiting, call forwarding, conference services, and antivirus and anti-spam.
