NOVEMBER 6, 2007 -- Arcapita, a global investment house, will deploy Alloptic's (search for Alloptic) GEPON equipment as its enterprise communications infrastructure within their new corporate headquarters. The facility, scheduled for completion in 2009, is being constructed in the new development of Bahrain Bay in Manama, Bahrain.

With investors and investments around the world, Arcapita's network requirements are particularly demanding. Alloptic says that Arcapita chose its PON system for the flexibility it offers in configuring and operating their enterprise-wide network, as well as for its reputation for reliability and security. The infrastructure will enable Arcapita to migrate all of its IT services -- VoIP, building management services, data communications, and operations -- onto a single network, which simplifies support requirements and operating expenses.

"Increasingly, large institutions are demanding that the enterprise network must be as robust, reliable, and cost-effective as the traditional service provider network," said Ric Johnsen, CEO of Alloptic.
