March 15, 2006 Livermore, CA -- Australia's Madison Technologies, along with local partners AJM Kooheji and Sons, have selected Alloptic's Gigabit Ethernet passive optical network (GEPON) access platform for deployment in Bahrain's El Areen development.
"Implementing a state-of-the-art optical infrastructure has enabled us to multiply the efficiency of our current network by 100%," maintains Al Kooheiji of AJM and Sons. "Since Bahrain is a banking and financial hub and is also a rapidly growing tourist destination, it was crucial that we deploy the best technology available in the market."
"We are offering a complete cable solution based on a next-generation fiber-optic technology, replacing the much slower and outdated copper wire technology system," adds Larry O'Toole, general manager of connectivity solutions for OptiPon, a subsidiary of Madison Technologies. "We are offering end-to-end fiber solutions through underground and aerial systems. This system offers a comprehensive warranty and application assurance program in home automation, LAN, FTTH, voice cabling, etc."
Alloptic says the network infrastructure will provide the El Areen development's residents with bandwidth for purposes of technology, security, broadband Internet service, home automation, and video entertainment.
"With our partners, Madison Technologies and Optimal Technologies, we are pleased to be an integral part of the communications infrastructure of the Kingdom of Bahrain," comments Mike Serrano, director of marketing for Alloptic.
