May 9, 2005 New London, CT -- Ortronics/Legrand, a provider of structured cabling products, has introduced its OptiMo raised floor fiber patch panels. The company says the panels allow data center managers and designers to take advantage of installation space beneath the raised floor structure of a data center, enabling flexibility in structured cabling design while maximizing the utility of data center floor space.

Especially designed for installation in raised floor boxes that are part of cabling pathways, the panels address the special bend radius and depth requirements of fiber-optic cabling systems. The manufacturer says the panels' design supports installations using conventional field termination techniques, pre-terminated cabling with Momentum cassette-based ribbon, and pre-terminated trunk style cabling using Ortronics 615 series adapter panels, patch cords, and associated cable management hardware.

The panels include removable/reusable labeling fields for cabling administration and record-keeping.
