The SmartCoupler OC doubles fiber capacity and offers automatic verification of acceptable backreflection levels. The coupler protects against silent failures by guaranteeing normal operation of protection switching when link faults occur. The device has advanced fault isolation and an insertion loss of less than 3 dB.
