Boston University is nearing completion of a $80 million Center for Photonics Research, with a nine-story facility that supports development activities originating in the Center. Slated to open in May, the center aids photonics research and development engineering with 235,000 sq ft of laboratory and classroom space, lecture and seminar halls, and a photonics library. Resources include telecommunications, teleconferencing, and interactive data transmission and retrieval.
