The 79800B Series distributed-feedback and Fabry-Perot fiber-optic source modules offer high stability at standard and user-specified wavelengths. When used in the 7900 system mainframe, the modules provide a standard coherence control feature to suppress interference effects caused by reflections and Brillouin scattering when narrow linewidth sources are used.
