Gain-flattening filters
Gain-flattening filters provide attenuation of 8 to 35 dB over a 6- to 8-nm bandwidth centered at 1532-nm (peak gain) of the erbium-doped fiber amplifier spectral output. The attenuation level can be specified within the 8- to 35-dB range. Insertion loss is < 0.4 dB at 1540 to 1560 nm. Termination options include FC, SC, and ST connectors with standard polishes.
