The SearchLite tracing system identifies origin and termination points of traceable fiber-optic patch cords and can be operated over a distance of several meters in central office locations. The unit runs on a replaceable 9V battery that provides more than 50 hr of continuous operation. This compact, lightweight system can be handheld or magnetically attached to a metal frame.
