Network operating system

The Inferno 1.1 distributed network operating system allows Inferno-enabled devices to share network resources. The software requires minimal hardware and can run with as little as 1 Mbyte of memory, so it is suitable for inexpensive devices, Internet terminals, set-top boxes, and network computers. The system also includes a security and authentication feature at the operating system level.
