Valdor Fiber Optics introduces multichannel interconnection technology

The product line, called HeptoPort, features a seven-fiber port utilizing the company's two-dimensional, self-alignment impact mount technology. The product line, called HeptoPort, features a seven-fiber port utilizing the company's two-dimensional, self-alignment impact mount technology. Valdor has filed a patent application for its two-dimensional, self-alignment impact mount technology.

The HeptoPort product line will initially be used in DWDM add-drop multiplexers and isolators. This new multichannel application is expected to dramatically reduce costs, free up module space, and open up new architectural possibilities.
