Fiber-optic modem

The fc-a fiber-optic modem converts electrical data signals into light signals, transports them transparently via optical fiber at distances to 30 km, and reconverts them at the other end. Asynchronous data is carried at 128 kbits/sec. The unit supports standard industry interfaces and will operate over singlemode or multimode cable. The device is available as a stand-alone unit, for top-hat rail mounting, or in a 19-inch rack.
