MARCH 16, 2007 - With a new 3D editing capability, a streamlined design process, and an updated appearance, RSoft Design Group's (search for RSoft) new advanced CAD system enhances the company's existing passive device simulation tools: BeamPROP, FullWAVE, BandSOLVE, GratingMOD, DiffractMOD, and FemSIM. The new capabilities extend the targeted range of photonics applications in the optoelectronics, communications, and semiconductor industries.

One of the highlights of the new CAD release is the ability to edit structures in 3D. This feature allows users to manipulate and view their designs along any direction as well as in all three dimensions, enabling designers to more readily create and view complex designs.

The new CAD release boasts a streamlined design flow targeted to expedite the design and simulation process. According to RSoft, this new platform further extends the usability of its CAD and provides design engineers with a straightforward and user-friendly interface.

RSoft says it is scheduling worldwide training seminars to familiarize users with the new CAD interface. The new CAD will also be demonstrated at OFC/NFOEC 2007 in Anaheim, CA, March 27-29, at booth #2729.
