Highline has acquired IMS, a Liberty, Texas-based ISP, reflecting the provider's efforts to expand its geographical footprint.

The provider said that the deal strengthens Highline’s service capabilities in Texas and reinforces our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for communities by ensuring seamless connectivity.

A key focus of the acquisition for IMS and Highline is to bring services to underserved communities in Southeast Texas.

Scott Borel, VP of Highline South Region, which includes Texas, Georgia, and Kansas, will lead Highline's IMS group.

Highline has continued to expand its network reach across locations in six states, including Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska and Texas.

The provider is building out its FTTH network, leveraging XGS-PON technology in underserved and unserved areas with limited or no broadband connectivity options.
