Conexon Connect completes ninth fiber broadband project in Georgia, surpassing 240,000 homes and businesses
Conexon Connect has completed its 15th electric cooperative fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network since the company's launch in 2021, and its ninth in Georgia, the state where its first projects launched. The multi-gigabit-speed network, built in partnership with Alma, Georgia-based Satilla REMC, spans 5,200 fiber miles, marking the ISP's longest network in the state and bringing its total statewide reach to more than 240,000 homes and businesses. The Connect, powered by Satilla REMC, fiber network delivers broadband access to 100 percent of the EMC's more than 39,500 members across Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Pierce, Ware and Wayne counties.
Ezee Fiber lights up fiber Internet in Barrington, IL
Barrington Village, Illinois, trustees recently approved a license agreement with Ezee Fiber, which has an office in Elk Grove Village. Trustee Brian Prigge said in a Daily Herald article that he was excited about the agreement, hoping it would bring more competition to the area and better pricing and services. The agreement gives access to and use of village rights-of-way for the installation and maintenance of fiber cable. Although the village will not gain significant revenue from the agreement, public agencies, including the village, the library, and schools, will receive free access.
Fidium expands high-speed fiber network to Rumford, Maine

GoNetspeed hatches $43M expansion plan for four New Jersey communities
GoNetspeed announced plans to expand its fiber network to four additional New Jersey communities, marking the company’s second expansion in the state. Through a combined fully funded $43 million investment, GoNetspeed continues to grow its presence across New Jersey, bringing more choice, faster speeds, and reliable connectivity to more than 34,000 residents and businesses throughout Rahway, Clark Township, Linden, and Woodbridge. Following its recent $13.6 million investment in East Brunswick and South River, the Rahway area now becomes the next New Jersey community slated to gain access to GoNetspeed’s high-speed service, with additional growth planned across the state.
Spectrum boosts Perry County, Ohio, broadband connectivity
