ZTE: Fiber Fingerprint Solution Empowers Turkcell Fiber Infrastructure

Turkcell and ZTE have collaborated to complete Europe's first "Fiber Fingerprint" trial, improving resource utilization and troubleshooting efficiency of the optical distribution network (ODN). The trial was deployed at Turkcell Kartal Plaza, leveraging ZTE's Fiber Fingerprint line card, an external optical multiplexer with an integrated optical switch, and a Fiber Fingerprint splitter. ZTE's fiber fingerprint solution enables data-driven ODN networks through three breakthroughs: passive network identification, intelligent operation and maintenance analysis, and visualized resource management. This collaboration marks a milestone in transforming the passive "dark" ODN pipeline into a "visualized" network, paving the way for the optical access network to evolve into a fully digital, end-to-end intelligent infrastructure. Turkcell and ZTE will continue refining algorithms to improve system performance, expand the Fiber Fingerprint solution to wider applications, and accelerate the seamless integration of advanced digital intelligence into ODN infrastructure.
