PacketLight Networks: PL-2000FC 4x64G Fibre Channel Transponder

PacketLight Networks’ PL-2000FC provides a solution for transporting 64G Fibre Channel (FC) over Optical Transport Unit 4 (OTU4) standard protocol for dark fiber and DWDM/OTN networks. It encapsulates the 64G FC protocol within OTU4 uplinks, enabling seamless connectivity and interoperability with any 3rd-party standard transport device or OTN network. In addition, it serves as a DWDM transponder, transmitting 64G FC over the DWDM/OTN network. This addresses the industry need to transport 64G FC over remote data center interconnection (DCI) networks and supports pay-as-you-grow scalability.
