TeraHop: PCIe6 OSFP-XD LPO AOC

Feb. 12, 2026

TeraHop’s PCIe 6.0 OSFP-XD LPO AOC extends PCIe connectivity from copper to optical media while maintaining full protocol integrity, supporting link distances from 1 meter to 10 meters, while preserving PCIe sideband functionality required for common-clock system architectures. For SRIS (Separate Reference Clock Independent Spread) architectures, the cable reach can extend up to 50 meters. An internal reference clock (REFCLK) within the AOC module allows seamless integration into existing PCIe systems without requiring modifications to system clocking topologies. The dedicated support for the PERST# sideband further enables per-link reset synchronization, ensuring robust device initialization and management across extended optical links. Unlike typical PCIe 6.0 OSFP-XD AEC (8 lanes), which consumes approximately 33 W, the PCIe 6.0 OSFP-XD LPO AOC (8 lanes) requires only ~15 W.

Judge’s comment: “An active optical cable that supports PCIe6 is an important advancement.”
