April 14, 2025

On the evening of March 31, against the backdrop of OFC 2025 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco California, Lightwave + BTR culminated its 12th annual Innovation Review research and analysis by recognizing standout achievements in various telecom networking categories.  Juniper Networks' submission was one of only two to earn a perfect 5.0 score based on the capability and significance of the world’s first in-service deployment of 800G router (PTX10002-36QDD) and early release 800ZR optics – 800ZR IPoDWDM solution into the backbone network of Finnish telecom and digital service provider Elisa Oyj.

Sean Buckley, Editor in Chief, Lightwave + BTR, talked to three key Juniper executives about its 800G work with Elisa Oyj:

  • AE Natarajan, Executive Vice President, Chief Development Officer, Juniper Networks
  • Amit Bhardwaj, Vice President, Product Management, Juniper Networks
  • Moran Roth, Director Product Management, Juniper Networks

Comment from Lightwave + BTR Judges: “Juniper has developed a flexible platform and deployment that allows Elisa to simplify its aggregation network for its fixed and mobile networks.”
