Fiber-optic converter

Fiber-optic converter

A high-speed fiber-optic converter operates from 200 to 1250 Mbits/sec and is protocol-independent. The system is available for 1300- and 1550-nm operation over a remote link to 75 km on singlemode fiber. An edfa booster option is available for link distances beyond 130 km. Local ports are available for 1300- and 1550-nm lasers that will operate on multimode and singlemode fiber. The converter comes in 19-inch housing that can be table-top or rack-mounted. The front panel led display provides information on system operation status. An optional snmp management agent is available for terminal and remote management via a 10Base-T network connection.
