Eagle Broadband joins Fiber-to-the-Home Council

Aug. 21, 2001--Eagle Broadband announced its membership in the Fiber-to-the-Home Council and the company's plans to participate in the Council's first meeting.

Eagle Broadband (Amex: EAG) announced its membership in the Fiber-to-the-Home Council and the company's plans to participate in the Council's first meeting scheduled to take place on August 23 in Rochester, New York. Vice President of Engineering John Nagel will represent Eagle Broadband as the Council begins its initiative of promoting and accelerating the deployment of fiber optic broadband access throughout North America and elects a board of directors, approves bylaws and appoints legal counsel.

Eagle Broadband's ClearWorks subsidiary has been installing FTTH for more than two years in the company's Texas market.
