JANUARY 15, 2010 -- Lightower Fiber Networks, a metro fiber network and bandwidth service provider serving the northeastern United States, says it will expand its all-fiber network in southern New Hampshire. The network expansion will add new routes and fiber density plus connectivity to data centers and business centers.
The New Hampshire network expansion will extend Lightower's network into Salem, Manchester, Merrimack, Nashua, as well as neighboring towns in the southern region of the state. New Hampshire customers will have access to such services as dark fiber, Ethernet, wavelengths, Internet access, and SONET.
New Hampshire customers will be able to leverage Lightower's services to connect with any other area in the Lightower footprint including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, the Hudson Valley, Long Island, New York City, and New Jersey.
"This network expansion connects customers and critical data facilities in southern New Hampshire with the entire Lightower footprint throughout the Northeast including key interconnect facilities, financial exchanges, and data centers," explained Doug Dalissandro, EVP of sales at Lightower Fiber Networks.
"This all-fiber network expansion also demonstrates Lightower's ongoing commitment to providing flexible backhaul options for wireless carriers," stated Rob Shanahan, CEO, Lightower Fiber Networks.
